Scientific Software Developer - Affinity
The Affinity Group at OpenEye seeks to hire a scientific software developer to join a growing team delivering Molecular Dynamics (MD) based solutions for predicting protein-ligand binding affinities. Within OpenEye’s Cloud-based platform Orion, our team has already delivered to our clients massively parallel Relative Binding Free Energy (RBFE) tools capable of calculating affinities on dozens of ligands in only hours, using hundreds of GPUs. We are also developing faster, higher throughput MD-based prescreening approaches to use upstream of the heavier free energy methods. With your experience in MD and programming, you will help us to extend our capabilities in this area, making both our science and our tools better: more robust, more accurate, and more efficient. The work you do will have a high impact, contributing to the science of many organizations, both industry-based and academic. In this you will be collaborating with experienced scientific developers with expertise in small molecule drug discovery and long track records of delivering useful solutions and liaising with academic collaborators in the simulations community.

Postdoctoral Research Associate in Bioinformatics - IRC 143275
The Biochemistry and Biotechnology Group (B-TEK) in the Bioscience Division is seeking candidates interested in utilizing and developing proteomics, metabolomics, and/or lipidomics pipelines to deeply characterize a variety of sample types, coupled with bioinformatics utilizing data generated from high resolution platforms. Candidates skilled in handling large scale proteomics, metabolomics or lipidomics data are encouraged to apply. Candidates should be able to process data both quantitatively and qualitatively, and ideally have experience developing targeted, quantitative workflows. Experience implementing quality control standards for metabolomics is desired for this position; this includes the use of reference, quantitative, process control, and system performance standards. An ideal candidate will be able to work independently supporting multiple projects all of which have a National Security application. This includes, but is not limited to, developing sample preparation workflows for biofluids including saliva, urine, and/or blood, developing targeted methods for monitoring select biomarker panels including proteins and small molecules, and characterizing the in vitro, molecular response following exposure to toxicants of concern. Applicants will have access to state-of-the-art high resolution mass spectrometers including multiple Orbitrap platforms, as well as access to state-of-the-art computing resources including the use of High Performance Computing.
